Hello from Hackensack!
We arrived on Monday and Tim is settled into his room which has a spectacular view of the NYC skyline and the runways of Teterboro Airport. He must have earned VIP status after the last transplant because he is in a spacious corner room this time.
Tim is on a slightly different regimen of chemo drugs. He received the Melphalan infusion yesterday and will get his second shot of Velcade this afternoon. Friday is when he will get his healthy stem cells back! From that point on it’s mostly supportive care along with shots to boost stem cell production. He is in good spirits today.(worse part so far was the required ice chewing yesterday from 4:30- 7 pm) He may never order a drink on the rocks again!
So many of you have reached out already and we can’t thank you enough for your support. If you have a moment sometime over the next 2 weeks I have a favor to ask of you. Let me explain….
In our family we have some favorite real and made up texting acronyms. WTT Wayn, NNTTB, etc. Katie’s latest addition to our library is ESAP. Everyone Send A Picture. Basically, we send a picture of whatever we are doing or where we are. Sending this message out to all of you would bring some interesting responses which would help pass the time. Please join in if you can!
So…..ESAP
Love,
The Feeneys
