Blog #8 August 15

Tim is progressing through his recovery. He is experiencing the delayed side effects from the Melphalan infusion back on Tuesday. Unfortunately, these were expected. Day 5 (out of 12) is tomorrow and we are getting ready for what lies ahead. He is doing laps around the nurse’s station daily and listening to too many of my pep talks. I wish Coach Dzik was here to assist! The highlight of the week was a surprise “visit” from Erin who parked on the top of the adjacent parking garage and somehow saw a priest in the distance and called out to him, “Hey Father, can you throw my Dad a blessing?” The priest said, “Sure, where is he?” Erin put the phone close to him and pointed to Tim who was standing in the window of the 8th floor. His message was one of peace, strength, and healing. It was a miraculous week and we are very thankful. Keep those prayers coming!
