Monday we are leaving for Hackensack. Although Tim is still experiencing some dizziness we are both ready for this life saving procedure. Science is amazing and Tim is grateful to be able to get the stem cell transplant. Monday’s visit will involve lab work and a consenting appointment with the transplant doctor. Monday night we will stay in our “Hackensack Shack” and early Tuesday morning Tim will be admitted to the hospital where he will get a catheter and begin treatment. Tuesday is known as Day 0 on his schedule. This is the day he will receive melphalan, a very strong chemotherapy drug. This will practically wipe out all stem cells, both good and bad. As his doctor told him, “Melphalan always wins.” As scary as that is we know he will be given back his own harvested healthy cells and then be on the road to recovery! Tim will be in the hospital for about two weeks and we should be back home by the end of the month. Thanks for all of your support. We couldn’t have gotten to this point without all of you!! Thank you and please keep those prayers coming!

Love,

The Feeneys
